I. A description of the activities
undertaken during the unit, including comments on
the reactions of the group/individual participants
Due to the nature of the group (people from socially
excluded background with bad experiences resulted in
the lack of trust in their surroundings and the people
around them) we have organized this meeting. The possible
participants got opportunity to talk to the artist
who will lead the workshops, listen to what kind of
character will the workshops have and ask questions.
We suppose that the participants will feel more comfortable during the group
activity if they got to know the artist before and had at least slight idea
what they can expect from the workshop. If the participants did not have the
information in advance, it would be practically impossible to schedule the
workshop because common worries and fear of the participants would prevent
them from attending
The meeting was very short and after the artist explained
everything and answered all the questions, there was
as date set for the next meeting (6.03.08). While leaving
everybody seemed to be interested in the upcoming workshop
and decided to try next workshop.
II. Was the aim of the unit achieved (the
implementation of practical skills and the pedagogical
aim)?
Everybody who attended the meeting like the artist
and decided to participate on the workshop, which is
a very essential step to start the workshop blocks.
However, it will probably take time to build up a study
group.
III. Other remarks (for example
on the interaction between artistic and educational
elements)
